A dozen officers have descended on the home of Jamaican rapper Sean Kingston over an allegation the Beautiful Girl hit maker did not pay for A$225,000 entertainment system he had installed in the Florida mansion.

Kingston, 34, did not appear to be home when the police arrived on Thursday afternoon and arrested his mother Janice Turner, 61, on fraud and theft charges.

Turner, who was dressed in a T-shirt and leggings, was lead away from the home in handcuffs.

Ver Ver Entertainment lawyer Dennis Card was outside the Southwest Ranches home when the raid took place.

Mr Card spoke to local media and indicated Kingston was also wanted in connection to the alleged theft.

“He said that he works with Justin Bieber and that he, obviously, puts on a big show here, this is a rental house, he doesn’t own it,” Mr Card told reporters.

“He lures people using his celebrity into having them release things without having him pay for it and then he simply never pays.

“He is stealing the property itself. He has a standardised script that he gives people, which is that he’s a recording artists, that he’s certainly is, and that he wants to purchase these things, but he never pays for anything.

“He gets the stuff and that’s the end of the story. He does it over and over and over.”

The local sheriff’s office confirmed to the Daily Mail their presence was requested.

“Broward Sheriff’s Office Dania Beach District detectives along with members of BSO’s Strategic Investigations Unit and Davie Police SWAT, served arrest and search warrants at a residence in Southwest Ranches,” the police statement read.

A baby-faced Kingston, whose real name is, Kisean Paul Anderson, dominated charts in 2007 when he debuted hits Me Love and Beautiful Girls.

Kingston has since collaborated with the likes of Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj.

While Kingston’s music was wildly popular in the mid 2000s, his popularity has waned considerably in recent years.

In 2014 he toured regional Queensland playing at venues in Mackay and Rockhampton.
